It's my mom's birthday!! I've kind of started a tradition of writing a poem for people on their birthdays, especially my family members. Because I love my mom so much, and because she's so special to me, I wanted to share this with you guys, too.
Happy Birthday to My Mom
When I’m weak, you take my hand
You pull me up, and help me stand.
You make me laugh when I frown,
And cheer me up when I feel down.
You kiss away my tears at night,
And hug me tight with all your might.
Whether you know it or not,
You’re beautiful inside and out;
Mama, you’re caring and kind,
And that’s what shines throughout!
I don’t know if you understand
How much I appreciate you every day;
How much I love and adore you;
To me you’re perfect in every way.
Thank you for being there for me,
Thank you for showing me what I can be.
Thank you for never going away,
Thank you for being my star during the day.
Thank you for teaching me all that I know,
And thank you for never letting me go.
You’re the best mom ever, and I just want to say:
"I love you, Mommy! Happy Birthday!"
